WINDY HEATHER AND THE 3 PEAKS
This image was taken back in August 2023 when I went for a walk after parking at Clay Bank car park looking for future locations. I wasn't expecting to stay for sunset but when I saw the cloud formation I knew it might produce something special. I set up my composition and waited for 2 hours, in very windy conditions, till the colour started to appear. Well worth the wait.

EARLY MORNING AT PRESTON PARK
Taken in November 2023, this is my local park and has some lovely walks within it's grounds. Running along the edge is the River Tees which, on this particular occasion, had mist resting on the calm water. I particularly like the way the tree's reflections, combined with the tree's themselves, make a leaf shape with the sun breaking through to add the extra element of interest.

GRISEDALE VIEW
This image was taken in May 2024, where I had been the previous year with my brother and made a note of this scene knowing that I wanted to return to it. The walk is a circular route from Patterdale up the Grisedale Valley. I could not find a particular name for the mountain in the background but it leads off from Nethermost Pike, which is near Helvellyn.

SUNRISE AT WHITBY HARBOUR
This is one of my earlier images taken back in June 2021. I arrived in Whitby near the whale bones at 1am with the hope of having Whitby to myself, which I did. With no-one around I had empty streets which made for some lovely images. This particular picture was taken walking back from the Abbey steps just as the sun was beginning to rise.

April 2025
BLUEBELLS AT GRASMERE
Recently I went to Grasmere for a walk with my brother, which we try and do once or twice a year. This was at the end of April 2024 and after seeing all the bluebells on show I went back myself a couple of days later. This particular image is taken on the path inbetween Grasmere and Rydal water.

NORTHERN LIGHTS ABOVE TEESSIDE
What an amazing year 2024 has been for the aurora borealis, so many images have been shared of the stunning shows that mother nature has provided. These two images were taken on the same night in May, not too far from Gribdale car park, showing the silhouette of Roseberry Topping and shooting back out over Teesside.

TRACKS IN THE FIELD LEADING TO CLAY AND CARLTON BANK
I have been trying for the last couple of years to capture images of the very popular walk from Clay to Carlton Bank or Carlton to Clay Bank whichever you prefer. Taken in the July of 2023 I love how the tracks lead you to the start of the walk at Carlton Bank with the sun lighting up the hills as it rises.

ENJOYING THE RAYS
This is one of my most recent images taken while on a photography workshop in the Peak District in August 2024. As I was walking around the heather looking for compositions I noticed this beautiful butterfly resting on the rock with the heather behind.

LAVENDER SUNRISE
At one of my craft fairs in June 2024 my table was positioned next to White Horse Lavender who sell some amazing lavender products. After talking throughout the day I was offered the opportunity to take pictures at their lavender field. I went at the end of July at sunset and managed to capture this image.

September 2025
SUNRISE BEFORE BLAST FURNACE DEMOLITION, SOUTH GARE
I went to take pictures of the blast furnace demolition on the morning of 23/11/22. This was the sunrise that I was greeted with as I walked along the beach.

October 2025
MIGHTY OAK
While on my walks around our stunning part of the world I come across some amazing looking scenes, sometimes way off the beaten track. Luckily this one wasn't too far from my route and one I like to keep visiting.

November 2025
SUNSTAR AT THE BLAST FURNACE, SOUTH GARE
This year, in November, it will be three years since it's demolition so I wanted to include this image which was taken in the same month but back in 2019.

SNOWY BACK ROAD TO GRIBDALE
We don't get too many snowy winters these days so when we had a good amount in 2021 I took my chance and headed out. My plan was to drive up to Gribdale carpark so I could take snowy images of both Roseberry Topping, Captain Cooks and the surrounding area but, unfortunately, my car got stuck while driving up the road to the carpark. Instead of trying to dig myself out straight away I had a quick walk around to see what was available and, luckily, I stumbled on this particular scene.
